Size & Fit

SAMARA Abaya Size Guide — Find Your Perfect Size

At SAMARA , we use the Emirati sizing system (50 to 62) for our Abayas to offer you an elegant, almost bespoke fit. This size guide will help you easily choose the perfect size based on your body shape and height.

Our Abayas are made in the United Arab Emirates , the birthplace of the traditional Abaya, guaranteeing authenticity, quality and a perfect drape.

Why choose the Emirati sizing system for your Abaya?

Unlike the classic system (S, M, L or size 1, 2, 3), the Emirati system offers 7 different sizes , allowing for a much more precise fit.

The advantages:

✔ More precise adjustment according to your size
✔ Fewer alterations or hems needed
✔ Elegant drape and perfect proportions
✔ A near-custom feel

Each SAMARA Abaya is designed to naturally enhance your figure.

Abaya size chart (50 to 62)

Our sizes are expressed in inches and correspond to the length from shoulder to floor .

Example :
If you are between 1.50m and 1.55m tall, the recommended size is 52 , which is approximately 132cm in length.

👉 The choice of size depends primarily on your height in centimeters , and not on your weight.

Understanding the cuts of SAMARA Abayas: straight or flared

Depending on the model, we offer two main cuts:

Straight cut abaya

- Structured and elegant silhouette
- Fitted and refined
- Equivalent to French sizes: 34 to 52

flared cut abaya

- Flowing cut with more volume
- Maximum comfort and freedom of movement
- Equivalent to French sizes: 34 to 58

⚠️ Important: French equivalencies only concern width, never length.

On each product page, first identify the cut, then choose your size according to your height.

How to choose the right size Abaya?

Step 1: Choose the cut

Select a straight or flared Abaya according to your style and body shape.

Step 2: Choose the size (50 to 62)

Use your height in centimeters to select the ideal length.

Our expert tips for a perfect drape

Length preference:
Would you like an Abaya that is above the ankles or one that just touches the ground?

Shoes:
Sneakers, flat sandals or heels influence the visual length.

Morphology:
A generous bust may slightly lift the fabric — allow a few extra centimeters if necessary.
